Paint Correction Vs Wax

Paint correction is polishing. It levels light defects in the clear coat so the paint looks clear again. Wax and ceramic coating sit on top of that surface.

If your paint is already swirled from tunnel washes, wax alone will shine for a weekend and the swirls stay. Correct first, then protect. If the paint is already clean and new, a strong wash plus ceramic coating may be enough.
